Found Footage: iPhone boxes arrive at AT&T stores
A recent YouTube video suggests that AT&T has received their first shipment of iPhones. In the video, an AT&T employee or manager unboxes the unseemly amount of iPhones and stacks them on a shelf where they are locked up for safe keeping. An interesting note: the white 16GB iPhones come in white boxes.

Found Footage: David Pogue reviews the iPhone 3G

In regular David Pogue style, he has published a half-comedy, half-review of the iPhone 3G. In the video, he shows a side-by-side comparison of the loading speeds of EDGE vs. 3G. It took only 40 seconds for a page to load on 3G, while to took over 3 minutes for the same page to load over EDGE. He also swings by the 5th Avenue Apple Store to speak with the people waiting in line.
You can view this comical video review of the iPhone 3G by David Pogue on the NewYorkTimes video website. In addition, be sure to take a look at our summary of the top technologist’s iPhone reviews. [nytimes]

Found Footage: Clearing the way for the iPhone 3G
Watch this video at your own risk … it truly is painful to watch as this iPhone gets a bullet right through the home button. I can’t help but think if there was a much more humane way of getting rid of an old iPhone. Online auction sites or maybe an online classified ads site might be nice. Hmm … yeah, if only those existed.

Found Footage: iPhone 2.0 firmware walkthrough, iTunes 7.7 screenshots

Gizmodo has posted a video demoing the new iPhone 2.0 (build 5A345) firmware. In the video they mainly show the new features: Fetch New Data option, Parental Controls, new BBC field when you type an e-mail, and the scientific calculator.
The AppStore icon was on the home screen, but wouldn’t launch because it has not been activated as of yet. In addition to the video walkthrough, Gizmodo also posted 4 screen shots of iTunes 7.7. One of the screenshots reveal a “Look for iPhone & iPod touch Remotes” checkbox in the Advanced > General section of iTunes preferences — something we had mentioned in an earlier post.
